Berlin, Berlin….
One of the wonderful things about photographing analog is that you sometimes forget to develop your pictures immediately and if you finally develop them, there are so many pictures you didn’t even know you had taken in the first place. Bringing you back to that very special moment in a second.
We were visiting Berlin last November, when the horrible attacks in Paris took place. For me it was not the first time in Berlin and I decided to only take my analog Canon 3000. Wandering around the city with the pictures from Paris in my head, everything suddenly looked really big and somewhat frightening.
Being confronted with my countries own past – Hitler, the holocaust, Germany being divided by a wall… – by visiting a lot of museums, did everything to make me feel really small and everything around me so big and untouchable.
